I tune to both performenc and temp, I get it running good then check temp but sence both my engine have 1 gallon or less, I'm not at full race tune
You do not have even a gallon through either of your STS engines yet? Most times when I break in engine I have a gallon through them in a couple of days. Have been know to break in 2 new engines in a week and use 2 gallons plus.
