A guy in my club has this plane and cant get it to fly. It has over a pound of nose weight but it still acts tail heavy. It gets what looks likes plenty of speed he gives it a little up elevator and it tip stalls. Any suggestions.
Sounds nose-heavy to me!!

A nose-heavy airplane will necessarily have to fly with lots of up-elevator to compensate, which makes the wing fly at a higher angle of attack, which increases the propensity to stall at higher than normal speeds.

Try moving the CG back.
