ParkZone's Cessna 210 is a good idea! Small and flys in small fields. I'll hopefully maiden mine tomorrow!

Parkzone Cessna 210 review

I finally got to fly the plane this morning! Perfectly calm air at my favorite 76 acre park 14 miles north from me. Piece and quiet! You don’t need THAT much room but I love that park.
The plane can definatelybe flown in a small area, 50x50 feet more than likely if you don’t mind a lot of turning. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room. A basketball court would be a good place, small parking lots, school yards, etc.

My park has grass about 8 inches high right now and sometimes they let it go much higher. High grass is a GOOD THING with this plane as it cusihons the plane well if you nose her in. I fortunately didn’t have that happen, I just flare her in when it’s time. The plane IS VERY light and delicate. With care it’s not a problem at all.

I had charged 2 batteries last night. Flights with good throttle management last about 15-20 minutes. I fly at about 50% throttle most of the time once I have her at altitude. Batteries charge in about 20 minutes. The charger works very well and having it double as a stand for the plane is a nice touch!

This plane is a MUST HAVE! An absolute BLAST to fly.

I hand launched it as the gravel parking lot in the park is much too rough. Easy as pie! I flew her no higher than about 30 feet as I like to see my planes fly, not a dot in the sky.

I flew out 3 battery packs. I did get several glitches during the 3 flights. Several times the motor stopped, I was able to regain the motor on one or two occasions (using the throttle stick back and forth) just in time and slowly flared her in for a landing on 1 or 2 other times. I believe I got an “Out of range” set of beeps from the TX once and the plane came down after that. Range seems to be a couple of hundred feet.

Noise wise it’s not bad, mine seemed to get a bit noisier after the second flight, a kind of whineing sound but I can tolerate it. A bit of lube should stop it.

A very light breeze near the end of flight 3 let me play with doing harrier moves, letting her float to nearly a stop against the breeze. A LIGHT breeze I might add. The plane doesn’t like wind but a VERY light occasional breeze is not much of a problem.

A BIG Kudos to Parkzone for taking this plane on and making it available! This is a REALLY FUN plane. Bigger kudos to the makers of it!
