Personally I prefer Solveset decal setting solution over Micosol decal setting solution. When I apply a decal I glosscoat first if I haven't used gloss paint then I apply some of the solution to the area where the decal goes then apply the decal and quickly blot with a soft tissue then apply another coat of solveset on top of the decal and let it do it's job. Some decals will wrinkle more than others but I resist the urge to press out the wrinkles and just let them settle out on their own. When finished they look like they have blended right into the paint
