How much is it off and in what direction? Full scale light planes have the vert stab at a slight angle to the left, giving some right rudder effect to counter the effect of engine torque. I seriously doubt that the seller is going to do anything, but who knows? If you feel you must reset the vert fin, you will need to relieve the slot enough to allow the movement and then fill the gap and patch it.
