Default RE: Spektrum / Using one receiver in several planes / binding?

It makes sense, I did that (on 72mHz) while I was a college student and my budget was very tight. I had an airplane and a helicopter. Took turns on flying both with the same receiver until I plugged a servo into the wrong receiver output. I will not tell you what happened, figure that one yourself. At the time I was more concerned about my aircraft. Now I'm more concerned about safety, If I see somebody doing that at my field, I will not let them fly until a range check has been performed and the flying surfaces have been thoroughly checked. In the case of spektrum, a failsafe check WILL be performed too.

So the bottom line is, are you willing to risk your aircraft to save a few bucks. I learned my lesson. Can you learn from other's mistakes?
