Default RE: Whats in your field box?

I carry only the bare necessities. After over 20 years of R/Cing, I've discovered you don't really need much at the field.

1. In the bottom of the tool box: A tool to fit every fitting, nut, bolt or screw on your plane. Surprisingly, this isn't much. I carry a couple of allen wrenches, a Phillips and straight blade screwdriver, a pair of needle-nose and straight pliers, a pair of side-cutters, fold-up scissors, 100MPH tape, an Xacto knife, and a toothbrush.

2. In the top of the tool box: A spare for anything that could fail and be easily repaired at the field to keep me in the air for the rest of the day. This stuff is landing gear and wing bolts, prop nut, wheel collar, fuel tubing, servo arm, servo screw, CA hinge, control horn.

3. In the flightline box: Manual fueling system and fuel, chicken stick, spare props, spare glow plugs, Glow plug wrench, idle-screw driver, glow lighter, tach.

If this sounds like a lot, well...the tool box is 13" x 7" x 3", and the flightline box is a modified GP E-Box.
