Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Experience with ST GS2300 has me concluding that it's a great engine for the money, but it just doesn't have the snort when you need it (slow trottle response). When you're rubbing the rudder of one of these larger birds in the dirt, you need that instantaneous response in case of a sudden downdraft......the 2300 just didn't have it. ( I like my planes to react to throttle input as if they were turbocharged, supercharged, nitrous injected, sucking pure oxygen and borderline meltdown with regards to RPMs!) I should mention that I had an additional tank with 14oz of smudgeoil for the smoker, an extra battery, the smoke system itself, as well as the smoke coil in the muffler, but the plane still should have been an animal with all that power. The OS "F" plug is recommended for the ST GS2300 by the way. A DA50 sounds just about right for your needs.

Peace,
