my dad has a friend who used to race nitro RC cars when he was a kid and he said that he had a direct drive from the motor to the diffs... so he could put a tire on a starter box... and you know the rest. Don't know if he used a glow heater but that is how (in theory) you could bump start an engine, don't know if it would really work though
