Expect to invest around 1500++ USD to get to a reliable 80 kph, on the first pass..
I’ve played quite a bit with the basics and have found that you need a strong drive train (for example a .150 prop drive shaft) , brushless motor, Lipo batteries, balanced prop (something supplied by a pro), speed controller that can handle the amps, and last but not least a radio that is hi-tech and is glitch free… Imagine losing control at 60 kph and having the boat hit some rocks.. Talking for experience..
Make sure that you have a boat hull that can take the speed i.e, it should have a layer of carbon fiber in the stern.
