RE: H9 ultrastick 60 using quad flaps
I had the same problems that you are having with my 9C and US60.. Called Futaba several times and got very frustrated with their understanding (or lack of) how their own radio system worked. I never was able to get the airplane to work properly using their FAQ setup.. After spending hours and hours working on the radio, a more experienced friend said "man, you are doing this all wrong.. put the radio into glider 2 flap mode, and all of the stuff that you are trying to do is right there!" So, anyway, I removed the receiver, and plugged servo leads in the receiver as per the manual for glider 2 flap, and BANG.. perfecto.. I don't know why futaba has a thing about using "acro" mode vs "glider" mode but for an ultra stick, set it up with in Glider and you won't have any problems. Another thing that is nice with the glider mode is when you are coming in high with crow enabled, the amount of crow deflection is porportional to your throttle stick. There have been many occasions that I've "gone around" from a steep crow dive bomber approach and have always thought "wow, sure is nice that the crow disappears when I throttle this thing up.." Its one less switch to throw when you are busy otherwise.. Acro mode forces you to make crow a switched item, and it's all or nothin'..
If you need anymore detailed instructions let me know, but save yourself the headache.. read the book regarding the servo setup.. and give it a try!
