You won't find a Mac R/C sim. R/C sims aren't mass-market, so the odds of a developer recouping their investment in a Mac version aren't good. That's my opinion, anyway.
Virtual PC will not work for an R/C sim. There's 3 main reasons:
1. Emulating a PC is slow
2. The emulated video card is slow
3. Good luck getting a parallel/game port device working
Macs are absolutely awsome for most everything, just not R/C sims. I'm a PC technician by day, but use Macs primarily at home. A G4 tower and a G3 laptop. I'm not the type of person who wants to have to do PC repairs when I get home after doing them all day.
That said, when I started flying helis I wanted G2. So what'd I do? I bought a cheap PC and use it for G2.
Mac gaming isn't in all that bad of shape. Only the best PC games make it to the Mac. You don't have to pay full price, you just need to know where to shop. Check out dealmac.com for some ideas.
As for Fly!, it hardly requires a 900mhz Mac. It came out a couple years ago, and runs fine on a G3. Fly! 2, however, is a different beasty.
OS X is truly the future. It's all I run anymore. Unix with the ease of use a Mac, and Steve Jobs' digital hub software? Mmm... mana of the gods!
