I've met several pilots at our fun flys that are from Wichita and they aren't scared of any wind. Their remarks were learn to fly in it or stay home.

I told my instructor that one day I would like to fly with no wind and he replyed "where you going to move to".

Be safe, make sure the wind is right, and have fun.
