Are you turning the Coleman can upside down? There is no pickup tube in those green propane cans like the tube in the powermax can that picks up from the bottom. If you want liquid you have to turn the green propane can upside down when filling or starting.
Only thing I ever noticed was a more powerful lightoff not as gentle as the butane mix with the lower pressure and gas combo. Of course that is without changing any settings. Purge the tank first to so there is no vapor in it to prevent filling. Hopefully that helps.
