This was a piece of CRAP! Don't waste your money. Can not climb. At full throtle it stays level ,regardless of cutting slots In elevator and bending them up. Turning radius is bad but can be adjusted by extending rudder. Can only fly (Stay level) for 7 minutes and 26 seconds. (yes I timed it) After that It is just a gentle glider. Don't waste your money buy an AA. It's worth the 10 extra dollars.

Oh and Yes It only charges if you turn the red and green led on, on mine also.
