Range is never a consistent thing because of terrain and lots of other factors. The best thing to do to prevent loss of control is to just turn on the electronics and set the car down. Then slowly walk away while turning the wheels. How far do you really want to drive it though. It will go pretty much as far as you can see it, and by then what fun is it anyway. So range in my opinion is not a problem. If you wanted more you could get a FM or 2.4gh radio for pretty cheap and not ever have to worry. And about frying the engine. It is ALL the users fault if you fry an engine. If you treat it nicely it will treat you nicely in return. There are a few cases in where something can happen but most of the time it is the user.[sm=redface.gif]
