Take it from someone that has a TB02R. DON'T waste your money.
Why would I say this, you ask? Heres why:
When I first got it, I had intentions of making a rally car. After 3 brushed motors, I gave up. Unless you make a cover for the chassis, you will eat motors. The front wheels throw dirt DIRECTALLY into the motor.
It also has the tendency to break the outdrive cups because they are PLASTIC. They dont hold up to abuse or even mild running/drifting/rallying very well
Oh, and anybody that says rally knobbies wont wear down on the street is either lying to you or has never run them on the street because I FLATTENED mine in about 10 minutes in the driveway.
I then decided to make a drifter and I bought a Novak XBR brushless setup which has more than enough power to spin the wheels. Unfortunately, if you dont tighten the diff down, it will slip and ruin your drift. IT JUST WONT HOLD A DRIFT UNLESS YOU REALLY TIGHTEN THE DIFF. PERIOD. So, when you do tighten the diff down, you run the risk of breaking the cap screw. Ive broken about 8 so far and now Im done with this chassis.
Oh, I forgot, Ive also broken two outdrive cups as a drifter too, one on the front and one on the back....and Im running the tb02 evo 3 rear cups which are supposed to be stronger.
Lastly, if you decide not to tighten the diff so its essentially locked, you run the risk of melting the metal ring to the back of the outdrive cup. Its happened to me twice, even with ceramic grease globbed in there. Ive pulled 2 diffs apart to find the metal rings fused to the plastic.
Take my advice, dont waste your money because the diffs arent up to drifting and or rallying.
The chassis is a good one, the shocks and suspension are great but the diffs are NOT. If your going to on-road race or just parking lot bash, go for it.
Heres a video of my rally tb and a few pics of the drifter version;
