RE: How do you rate Jetcat service?
First and foremost I want to apologize to Kelly about his bad experience. It is especially frustrating to have a loyal customer like Kelly recommend JetCat to others and then question that decision. I am very sorry for that, Kelly.
It has been a somewhat rough summer for JetCat USA, due completely to the shop move. This was a short term event but will have a huge long-term payoff for all of us. Let me explain.
Some of you might not know that Bob Wilcox has recently made a major investment in JetCat USA and moved his large shop about 300 miles north from Los Angeles to Paso Robles. The timing of the move could not have been worse. He should have moved in the winter, but his lease was up now and that was opportunity knocking! This timing put the move square in the middle of the peak flying season. This has caused some repair delays, no question.
During the summer, the vast majority of repairs are crash and FOD related. As you can imagine, this demand is quite elastic. During the winter, there are not as many repairs of any kind. So the trick is to have elastic service. You need enough resources to support the summer demand but still stay in business during the winter. With the way Bob has sized his operation (with Justin, Joe, and now Chris), repairs should take 10 days in the winter and 14 in the summer.
The bottom line is that there is a new dedicated US based turbine operation even bigger than before. In addition, JetCat sales are better than ever. These things portend well for JetCat's future. You must remember, JetCat’s business plan is designed for long term stability and sustainable growth. I support JetCat as I want to know that 10 years from now my sizable investment will be safe because JetCat is thriving and still in business.
Although I personally am not that critical to JetCat’s operation I try to help the customers on RCUniverse. I had my second baby in August after my wife had a tough last 6 weeks of pregnancy, so it has been hard for me to get online as much as I used to . That is all back on track now so I will be here to help everyone on RCUniverse just like I have for years. If you are having any trouble or concerns feel free to contact me here or call me at (805) 907-4462 and I will help you.
Best regards,
