Default RE: DX-7 Losing Bind

I had it happen to two planes/recievers twice on two different outings. The one plane did it three times. Doing a little investigating, we think that the one that was doing it regularly several times an outing, was hopefully do to a bad switch. It was an MPI charge switch Futaba J. I changed it out and flew all day without incident. However, It still doesn't explain the other two plane/recievers that I have a trouble with.
Is it possible that a might have a bad bind button that maybe sticking or something? About 2 months ago I used a tray but stopped and never had a problem till recently. However I set my transmitter on its back. Could the bind button have a issue? Only problem I can see with this is I've never had a problem in the air. You would think I would notice some type of lose of control at some point.
You stated that if you stand to close to a metal object you can have a linking issue. Will this cause you to rebind? or will turning it off and then on solve it. Because one of the planes we tried everything, including standing far away, turning off and on. Changing transmitter battery. Checking that the other two planes would still bind. And waiting probably 3 minutes or better for it to link up. Nothing seemed to work.
If the bad switch would cause it to lose bind. I am assuming it would be to erratic voltage. Any thoughts, why just restoring a good pack to the reciever wouldn't let it rebind? We had to rebind it after changing out the switch.
