I'm lucky enough to have my LHS being local. ;-) Which means that I can look-see the parts before paying up. I always check wooden blades for straightness and main shafts for both straightness and out-of-rounds. Then I pay.


I'm probably a pain as a customer, but they are now storing both the blades and the main shafts in separate boxes. All other parts are mixed in a common box.
