This past Saturday I went to a full scale fly-in
and corn roast at Greg Panzl's house. Greg is the guy that now
builds the full scale S330 Panzl (formally Staudachers). His place
is in the Irish Hills of Michigan, on one side of the sub his and
three other homes back up to a 2000 ft grass runway and on the other
side of the road the houses are on an all-sport lake. Greg builds
the "Panzl's" in a shop/hanger behind his home, he had just finished
the 8th S330 and it was there for customer pick-up. Chris Panzl
(former U.S. Unlimited Team member, now air show pilot and soon to
try out for the Red Bull Air Races) was also there with his S330 D
Staudacher along with a few other aerobatic guys, one with a Yak
55M, two with Pitts and a bunch of homebuilts and GA aircraft. I
brought my 260 and flew the first demo with a little sequence flying
and some 3D stuff. Chris then flew his full scale in a hair rising,
barn burning air show, it was awesome! I shot video from the ground
and we also mounted a small video camera in his plane as well. I
