Well I guess you said , "what happens"....

Solid state stuff seems to short (full on) although not always in this state..


Full on--shorted.....output is no more, it is basically a wire.

Then the next option is.
Open....nothing happens.

OR intermittent ...just flaking out some of the time.
Which of course is the hardest one to diagnose.
