theres no doubt the 3.3, and the revo is a lot tougher then it's given credit for, just that the ROAR rules arnt that fair, i know it's possible to get an LST2 down to 10.6 LB with fluids, so it aint to far off of the revo out of the box, although i have seen a revo down to 7.8 pounds fully loaded, lighter then most truggies, you can tell from the amount of race backing the revo gets from traxxas that the revo was meant to be a racer right from the start, here in aust the LST2 is the best buy because it is actually cheaper here (where i'm getting mine anyway) by $200, one of the losies biggest downfalls has always been it's the most expensive 1/8 scale MT in the states.
comes down to what you want right off the bat, and if you want to upgrade it latter, i'm glad i went the revo because i ended up putting a bit of money into it to, it is getting converted into a full blown racer (only thing it needs right now is the engine rebuilt and to be setup for the track), while the LST2 i have on order is going to be my bash truck, i know i will be able to get faster with the revo in the end.
