What is a Vertex engine? I never heard of them. Can you post a link and pics of it?

The primary factor that will determine if any engine will last long is how it was broken in and how it is cared for during operation and after broken in.

Another significant factor that determins an engine's longevity is if the sleev is chrome plated or nickle plated. Nickle will not last as long as chrome.
