This is one approach thatwas used onone of the prototypes.

For sport flying and some 3D maneuvers but no hovering use the AXI 4130/16 on 6S 4000-5000mAh and a Castle Phoenix 80 controller with an APCE 16X8 or 16X10 prop. This should be a 1000-1200W setup. This is the upper limit of this motor so be careful.

For ballistic performance (it has not been flown it this way but this info comes from a very experienced pilot) try an AXI 5320/24 on 8S 3000-4000mAh and a Castle 45HV or 85HV and an APCE 20X8 or 20X10 prop. This should produce ~1700W and should be considered the upper limit of the airframe. It should weigh ~9-10lb and getting CG should be no problem.

Both will also need an external BEC or flight battery to supply power to the radio gear.

MPI has some suggested higher voltage combos that ought to work well also.
