If you purchased the Nexstar new you should check out the no crash guarantee before you buy any replacemnt parts. As for the value of the Nexstar as a trainer i learned on one and would swear by it. My first one was crashed and then replaced by the guarantee. I still fly the replacement 4 years and7 airplanes later!(some are still flyable) It sounds like the airplane was way out of trim. Your instructor should have taken care of that so i would have to agree that you may need to find someone else to help you. It needs to be trimmed on the master AND the students box. Your instructor should also make sure that it is high enough for him to take back control in time to save it. Good luck and dont give up on learning or on this plane it is a great trainer!
