This is one of the many reasons I only recommend the SS kit. In the long run with the SS kit you come out MUCH better and cheaper. All so the SS kit has many other up grades the RTR does not have.

When shimming diffs you are trying to get as much tooth engagement with out bid between the ring and pinion gears (final gears).
