RE: I GIVE UP !!
Martin,
I am sorry that you are frustrated by this. But I will say that the steps you took in the hobby are kind of like going from the kiddy pool directly to swimming in the ocean. The Sundowner, a gas engine, and the Futaba 9C are fairly advanced pieces of equipment that a modeler should have a good background in the hobby before they use them. Instead of trying to make such a huge leap from your trainer you could move up slowly, pick up a Sig 4-star or a Godlberg Tiger II as your second time. You'll find them a lot easier to setup, and you'll definitely enjoy flying them as you gain more experience in this hobby. Once you get some experiece under your belt you could tackle the Sundowner again. I'm just finishing up a review of the Sundowner for RCU and I can tell you for sure that while it's not overly difficult to setup, it's definitely not for somebody that is on their second plane. Once you've setup a few easier planes I'm pretty sure you'll find that the Sundowner will be a lot easier to setup than it is now.
