I run mine hot because engine is very strong.

what I meant to say was Engine "isn't" very strong.

"any good replacments??"
There are harden diffs and final gears available.

"and if there are, how much???"
I haven't bought mine yet so I dunno what the prices are. you can check towerhobbies.com

"what did it take to break them???"
hitting jumps and not letting off the throttle. when I run, its usually just WOT over anything and everything. I tumble and flip all the time. so I busted steering knuckles as well.

Wow Evo, thats a nice flippin ride. I want to do the rear exhaust too. what cheap pipes do you guys recommend?
Hey rcuser75, thanks for your compliment.

As for regarding a pipe, what engine are you running? Sorry to say if you're still on the stock hpi 15 engine. I rather you save for a new engine and if possible, get together with a new alu pipe if you're running the composite pipe.
I'm going to follow everyones advice and get an OS .18 CV-R with the pull starter. Once I get that, I still want a rear exhaust to keep my wheel free of oil.

also, I've been checking on towerhobbies and seems the diff gears are the same on the 18ss and the RTR? I haven't broken (not stripped, I'm talking 4-5 teeth broke clean off) any since when I first got the truck so I guess it was just a fluke. I will look into harden final diff gears. This alone should be OK for the OS 18. right? I can't see anything else breaking.

Thanks,

BTW. went out yesterday and went through 3 tanks. only ended up with a stripped steering knuckle. hit some really big drops going WOT that made for some spectacular cartwheels that threw dust everywhere. I guess I'm getting better at crashing.
