I'm very new to this hobby myself. I've got a Futaba 6EXAS, and I don't know what all this radio can do. I myself have read the manual on how to use this function that function and whatnot. Doesn't make squidly sense to me. I'm just about to solo soon, and each time I get with my instructor I learn a little more what the radio can do. One thing I can tell is, you can't absorb everything they tell you all at once. But since I'm using a trainer, those high end options are not for me....yet. I've got most of the basics down on what my TX can do, but as for the other bells and whistles, that will come later as you you learn from yourself/experienced folks and time. I'm no expert, just letting you know you are not alone as far lots of folks saying "I got this gadet to give me more........" and you're wondering if I need to get that gadget too. I don't know if you have had an instructor or you've been flying solo for awhile. But I hope you don't give this up. I love it, even though I don't understand all of the lingo most folks mention in these threads. But I'm learning, anxious, but taking one step at a time. Hope this helps.
