Really? My HPI crashed into a curb at WOT 45mph and all that broke was one of the front suspension arms and front shock tower.

Also i don't know if upgrading to aluminum is a good idea, since its a very soft metal if you have a high speed crash its going to be bent and would be very expensive to replace, its expensive to get in the first place. I would suggest be careful and get used to the car before you put it in positions where it could crash if your not careful.
