Default RE: Quick draw cost vs mod zenoah

My scale is out of commission so I cant weigh both and give exact numbers. But I believe the inline Zenoah and QD35 (Both motors with pipes and mounts) are right on par with eachother in weight. If anything I would almost think the zenoah is lighter. The Zenoah is definately lower profile and has a lower COG. They have a comparable width (depending on the pipe setup you use for the Zenoahs).

I would certainly give the power edge to the inline Vs the QD35 though. A stock inline zenoah will turn props bigger than an 85mm 3 blade (Like an 8516/3) with no problems at 15000rpm+. A QD35 wont get on pipe (12000rpm or so) with an 8016/3. I got my best performance from my QD35 with a reduced blade 8016/2. Certainly lacking torque.

Considering the inline zenoah is at a lower price and cheep on parts (worst thing you could do is kill a motor - $200) and you can repair it yourself it is the direction I have been going.
