Do you have a rough idea of the weight of your trailer and its tongue weight. The reason I ask is, I was thinking of putting a hitch on my Ford Explorer in order to have it available as an alternative to towing with my full size Ford E150 conversion van. The Explorer specs are similar to your Kia. My 6x6.5x12 V-nose weighs about 2,100 lbs loaded with a hitch weight of about 280 (13%).

My trailer weighs 3400 lbs empty and the tongue weight is about 200 lbs.
My Kia is rated to tow 5000 lbs with a tongue weight of 500 lbs I think;
Of course, it all depends how you distribute the weight in the trailer for proper tongue weight.
