Fantastic help here, yes, the carb idle screw was in all the way, thus keeping the carb from closing, a couple turns out and it now closes like it's supposed to. have no idea how it got screwed in, but anyway, thanks guys for the help, now i can go back to work tonight and try to get this plane together. However, I did check for the burr and since that wasn't it, I was stumped again until the set screw post.
