RE: Titan 550 12T vs 23T in Rustler
Thanks everyone for posts. I fried the 12T Titan in my Rustler using a 6 sometimes 7 cell pack. Without warning ..no overheating and suddenly a brush fell apart and the fan melted a little. I have ordered a 550 motor simular to the Titan E-Maxx motor, actually 2 of them. I am using stock XL-5 esc so 8 cell is max and I wasn't sure if i should go ahead and build the 8 cell pack or would it be a waste of time. I will wait to build it and see how it does on 7. I generally push 8.7 volts with the IB's. Anymore input on this will be apprecited. Smoke test to follow.
