Now that there is a battery thread I feel the need to ask about changing the stock NiCd that comes with the futaba Rx with the 7CAP.

The stock one is 4.8v, can I change to 6v using the same receiver and servos without problems? Can I go for a NiMh instead of a NiCd? I charge all my batteries overnight and don't have the need to go for quick charge, so in that sense I think NiMh could serve me much better as I don't need high discharge rates either.
