Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

I'm here for the OS 18TZ report...

Damn it, the engine are having a hard time of starting it despite of my powerful starter box. I tried to open up the carb a liitle and it's fire up and i let it run it for abt 1 min before closing down the throttle. As usual, i run in the engine for 5 tankful as mention in the instruction before starting to tune it.

When i started to lean in on the HSN bit by bit and slowly, the devil is increasing it's acceleration to it SPEED!!!!! On my 7 tankful, i've got it to tune almost there. I used to run my Nosram .18 engine which is on par with my cousin 18ss engine. Today, it is totally different story!!

We used to count down from 3 to 1 and we are always keeping on par with my Nosram .18 and his 18ss engine. Today, i've OUT-RUN him in the whole rpm range. Especially on the acceleration to the mid. Our top end was almost the same, we are both using the stock gear ratio of 15 clutchbell and 49spur gear. The TZ is now way much more powerful engine and it is very strong on the acceleration speed which i believe this BAD-BOY are capable of pulling further more with a bigger clutchbell or smaller spur gear!!! I'm going to try out next 15 clutchbell with 47spur.

Overall, i'm very HAPPY with the purchase of this 18TZ. OS quality are top stuffs and they are truly live up to it name for the ease of tuning. Be it 18CV/18CV-RX/18TZ for your stadium truck, the OS engine is the WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers...

P.S. I'll like to take this chance to thanks 46U for his helps and tips given for those while... Cheers to you Jeff!!
