The GP-UCD 3D is a great flying 3D plane and an exceptional value at $189. In fact, when I flew my friends' (Mecam) several months ago, I new I would eventually own one. There was only one problem, (at least for me and many others I know) it's one of the ugliest planes I had ever seen. I hate owning ugly planes--so I set out to do something about mine. Basically, I didn't care for the original covering scheme. So I decided to recover the tops of each surface and add a little extra trim to the fuselage. The results are pictured below. Of course, it's purely subjective--but I think this is a big improvement.
BTW, there were added benefits to recovering--it allowed me to repair one severely broken rib (came shipped that way) that I may have otherwise not discovered. In addition, I was able to check and reinforce many of the glue joints.
