Dont mean to hijack the thread, but when heating the engine with a heat gun, do you heat the side of the casing, or do you come from the top of the engine?, probably a silly question when i think about it, heating the side of the engine seems to make the most sense
No, you are not hijacking the thread. Preheating is intended to reduce pinch by causing the metals to expand to reduce the pinch (the pich, of course is always mistaken as compression, but it is not).
