Default RE: Important JetCat Announcement from the JetPower Show!

Dave, that's been my point. Since Matt decided to be non-specific other than to say, "The above is clear", everyone else is still left hanging in the breeze the way jetcat owners have always been on non-se engines. I understand the need to be setup for high volume periods vs. low volume periods, but I honestly say I always felt trapped owning jetcat engines. They are Cadillacs, no doubt about it, but as I have said many times, how many of you like me had this scenario: you send your engine in, they tell you it will be three weeks, at four weeks you call and they magically just started working on it this morning, and then two weeks later it's done and the bill is $800, 1200, or more?

We sent a P-200 in a couple years ago that had crash damage, we were told it was inspected and not worth salvaging any parts. When we got it back, we decided to open it up and look at it for informational purposes, and the screws had not even been unscrewed as you all know when there is smoke discoloration over everything and you take a screw out, you can tell the screws have been taken out. This was not the case. So we got flat out lied to in that case.

I'll admit that this 3 year warranty adds a lot to the value of their new engines. And I'm such a lush, I may buy one, but as evidenced by the resale value of jetcats in the marketplace lately, I don't think the older engines are the ones you want anymore.

My .02. like it or not. But like Barry said, there are many many out there that have just flat out never had any real problems. And like Tom, we burn a heck of a lot of fuel down here and have to plan accordingly.
