RE: semi semitrical wing chariteristics
I forgot to mention, the center of the wing is still flat as orginial so the wing is still sitting flat on the cabaines. The
cg appeared OK. The only thing I can think of is the flat bottom wing has more lift at slower speeds. Now that I have a semi simitrical wing, the speed is marginial to keep it stable. If I could get more speed, maybe it would be OK...?? The wing is somewhat longer from from to rear (I think its called cord) is longer do to the ailerons. Maybe that did change the center of gravity. If the cord is longer, would I split the difference and move the cg back that much? I may not have asked that right, but just say for example, if the cord is 2 inches more that stock, would that move the CG back 1 inch? If not, how would your figure the new CG? Something else to think of, does the CG have to be below the tallest/thickness part of the wing/rib? I may be wrong, but it seems as the wing spar is usuallyin the thickest part of the rib, and usually the balance point is under the spar. Am I making any sence? Terry
