RE: gms motor
I just broke in a GMS .47. You have to slowly lean the LS needle till it will run with the glow driver off at idle. and only 1/8 turn at a time and don`t get your fingers in the prop ! Then go back and tweak the HS needle. This engine takes a little more time to get the settings right. But once set , will idle without any problems.
Make sure the carb is sealed to the crankcase , or you can set the needles all day long and get nowhere.
I`m not a big 2 stroke fan , but I like the way this low cost engine runs. High rpm`s and really good power , but , one of the tougher ones to tune .
If the engine dies when you pull the glow plug , you are to rich on the LS, or your glow plug is not lighting the last coil or 2.
