RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation
Use your heat gun to lightly heat the area and it should peel off quite easily with the use of the X-acto knife. Don't get to crazy as its easier to warp the canopy than it is too melt the covering. Did you also know that if you apply heat to epoxy it will soften it up enough to get it apart without breaking anything. I have an H9 Corsair that I put the wing joiner in upside down, that crazy wing design can be deceiving. It sat for about 3-4 days before I was able to get to it again and thats when I realized it was wrong, thought I was going to have to scrap the whole wing. Slowly heated the area with the heat gun and after about 15-20 min. I was able to pull it out.
I have been flying my T____T .40 alot lately. Think I am going to move the CG slightly to give it a little more 3D ability. Fly it mostly off a soccer field thats about 3 blocks from my house. Wish I had a video camera though, love bringing it in at about a 70* angle for landing and touching the tail first then setting it down on the mains. What a blast, never thought I was going to fly this much. Now it gets more airtime than my other planes do combined. I know I asked this before, what is a good CG for beginner 3D,LOL that sounds funny. Mine is set up for sport, flat and level flight. Want to get it slightly tail down without going to much.
Thanks Shane
