Default RE: Curare from Scratch

Hi nxtdoor. I'm in love with the Curare. One of the earliest MAN issues I bought, I believe in 1976, had a picture on the cover of Hanno Prettner flying the Curare in knife edge. I dreamed of building one with a piped Rossi .60 and Rhom-air retracts. A couple years later I bought at a local RC club auction in Texas a set of wing and stab root/tip templates and a canopy plug. They sat in a paper bag for many years until I read a thread somewhere on the internet several years ago about the Curare, where a gentleman stated he wanted to build one. I sent the individual an email and told him I had the templates and the plug and offered to let him use them if he would cut me some wing cores. I ended up sending him the templates and the plug, along with a copy of a set of plans I ordered from MAN, and I eventually got a set of foam cores and a canopy back from him. He must still have the templates and plug. Since then I've also acquired a Rossi .60 and I've recently tidied up my workshop such that, after more than 10 years hiatus, I'm now itching to build something out of balsa. So now I have a set of plans, a set of foam cores, a canopy, a Rossi .60 rc, and a clean workbench. Next up is to order up some balsa and get going. You wouldn't happen to have a material list, would you?

Anyway, I thought you might find my story somewhat interesting, and I wanted to let you know that I'll follow your build with great interest. Enjoy!

Regards,
Mark
