Man, if you have a chance to buy a 9C (A or H, either one) and it's in good shape, for $100, then DO IT, especially if you don't have a computer radio for your helis yet. The 9C is (IMHO) the best mid-tier transmitter, and the synth module eliminates a lot of headaches. It is a FM or PCM system (software selectable), and if Futaba ever ships the darn things, you will be able to get the TM-8 module to put in it for 2.4 GHz FASST, so unlike the Spektrum gear, you can use the same TX for any existing (or purchased) FM or PCM aircraft you get, and for the FASST gear when you're ready to upgrade.
