lipo batteries use lithum sheets that look like tinfoil, and polymer sheets that look like plastic wrap. the polymer insulates the lithium from each other to keep it from shorting out, and it's basically just a long strip of each wound into the size of a pack. The discovery channel has a program called "how it's made" and they show you how they are made every once in a while.
so li-ion has a liquid electrolyte or what?
