The exhaust plume is tough to photograph...need the right conditions, a good camera, good lighting and a little bit of luck. John VH has some of the best shots I have seen, and yours is right up there!

I took about 400 jet pics at the two Bay of Quinte rallies I attended, and cant see anything in any of them. I think this was just lucky for sure - and it is clearly seen at least 2 or 3 jet lengths behind the AV8R - I did crop this pic to size it down, the original full shot shows it even longer.
I'd be interested in seeing other pics of model jets with this effect.
