Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

Hi All,

Have been flying a 40-size, .91 powered Hanger 9 Pizazz for about 5 years. Had my first mid-air collision with it three weeks ago. Totalled the Pizazz. Pulled out the 91 and the radio gear. All seemed OK.

Went looking for a comparable 40-size plane and saw the Twist 40. Looked very similar to the Pizazz so I bought it.

I beefed up the firewall and stuffed the old OS 91FX into it using an APC 13 x 6 prop. To satisfy CG requirements I also had to make a removable battery hatch and battery holder behind the wing.

Out of a hover, it has an incredible climb rate. I set the original CG at 4 1/2 inches and maidened it yesterday, but the plane seemed nose-heavy. Today I reset the CG to 5 inches and the plane came alive.

What an great performing aircraft !!!! Much better than my good ol' Pizazz.

Too much power ? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh !

Joe
