I recently flew my first spad plane. It was the Defender model. I also recently crashed my first spad plane. I didn't use landing gear so it had to be hand launched. I had somebody throw it for me and it flew great. I was very excited. On the second flight I decided to throw the plane on my own. As I threw it, I no longer had any radio functions. Once I gathered the shattered pieces, we discovered the fatal mistake. I mounted my switch on the side and apparantly as I threw it that I bumped the switch to the off position. The moral to this story is to be cautious of this fatal mistake. I counted my loses and am now ready to try again with my second spad. Hopefully I don't have any more negatve stories to report.
