I travel pretty much weekly and it varies from airport to airport. The other day I came through Portland and when I was in line to go through at the airport not only didn't they check my bags for gels, they forgot to get my id at all. I walked through and didnt show anything. They let me walk right on through. They had a situation crop up with a lady and many kids and they missed quite a few folks.

Then I had the opposite where I got checked twice, and they checked all my bags like crazy, guess where that was? Yup...Portland.

So the consistency is not all that great.
